This policy explains the limited information Chores handles.

Data you provide

We store board names, participant display names, chore details, schedules, rotations, and compact activity history. No account or email address is required.

Private access keys

The access key is stored in the URL fragment and sent to the API as a capability header. Treat the complete link like a password.

Operational data

We process limited technical logs needed for security, reliability, rate limiting, and diagnosis. We do not place board contents in analytics events.

Analytics

Optional analytics runs only after consent on public pages. Private board routes use event-only measurement and never send the locator, key, names, or chore text.

Retention and sharing

Data is retained to operate the board and may be deleted after prolonged inactivity. We do not sell personal information.
